Kundalini Moola Mantra

The syllables “Lam,” “Vam,” “Ram,” “Yam,” “Ham,” and “Om” are known as the six beeja mantras associated with the six major chakras in the body. Chanting these mantras is believed to help activate and balance the energy centres, or chakras, bringing about various physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Here’s a breakdown of each mantra and its associated chakra:

Mantra

“Lam Vam Ram Yam Ham Aum – Kalike – Aum Ham Yam Ram Vam Lam”  

Meaning

  1. Lam (लं): Associated with the Muladhara Chakra, the Root Chakra, located at the base of the spine. It relates to issues of security, stability, and basic survival instincts.
  2. Vam (वं): Associated with the Svadhisthana Chakra, the Sacral Chakra, located in the lower abdomen. It is connected to creativity, sexuality, and emotional balance.
  3. Ram (रं): Associated with the Manipura Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, located in the upper abdomen. It is linked to personal power, self-esteem, and confidence.
  4. Yam (यं): Associated with the Anahata Chakra, the Heart Chakra, located in the centre of the chest. It is related to love, compassion, and emotional healing.
  5. Ham (हं): Associated with the Vishuddha Chakra, the Throat Chakra, located in the throat region. It is connected to communication, self-expression, and creativity.
  6. Om (ॐ): Associated with the Ajna Chakra, the Third Eye Chakra, located in the forehead between the eyebrows. It is related to intuition, inner wisdom, and insight.

 Kalike: This part refers to the goddess Kali. Kali is a powerful and fierce form of the goddess Devi in Hinduism. She is often associated with transformation and the destruction of ego. Chanting her name is a form of invoking her energy and seeking her blessings. 

By chanting these mantras while focusing on the corresponding chakras during meditation or yoga practices, individuals aim to clear blockages, harmonize their energy centres, and promote overall well-being, both physically and spiritually. This practice is commonly used in various forms of yoga and meditation for inner balance and self-awareness.


Gayatri Mantra

Gayathri Mantra is the main and best mantra of Hindus. It is also known as the Savitri mantra. Gayathri mantra finds praise in many Hindu scriptures like Bhagwat Gita, Chhandogya Upanishad, Atharva Veda etc. The mantra is believed to be the mother of all the mantras. The recital of the Gayathri mantra leads to growth in intelligence and gets rid of all the sorrows and pains.

There is no other mantra like the Gayathri mantra in all the four Vedas. The Vedas, yagna, charity and penance are smaller than the power of Gayathri mantra – Rishi Vishwamitra

Om bhu-bhurva sva tat-savitur-varenya
bhargo devsya dhimahi
diyo yo na prachodayat ॥

Meaning

You the eternal one, the physical one, the source of life oh adorable Sun God the brightest of all, clean my soul and purify me enlighten me, inspire me and lead me to the right path of life.

Note

You can recite Gayathri Mantra three times a day. It is best recommended to recite it early in the morning, in the afternoon and the evening just before sunset.


Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra

This Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is from the 7th Mandal of the Rig Veda given by Brahmarushi Vashishta Maitravaruni. It is believed that people who are sick and suffering from health problems will get cured soon if they recite this mantra daily. It is believed that by chanting this Maha Mrityunjaya mantra mentioned in Rig Veda and Yajur Veda 108 times daily, the fear of death will be removed, life will increase, devotion will be developed, and incurable diseases will be cured.

Aum Tryambakam yajaamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam |
Urvaarukamiva bandhanaan-mrityormuksheeya maamritaat || 

Meaning

I adore and worship you the three-eyed Lord Shiva the one who is fragrant and has nourished all beings. Free me from the bondage of this worldly life and free me from the fear of death by making me realize our immortal nature.

Note

· It is good to recite Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra Jaap 9 times before leaving your home for any work or 9 times just before going to bed.

· Reciting Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra 108 times a day brings health, wealth and prosperity to you and your family.

For best results, it is recommended to recite the Mrityunjaya Mantra during Brahma Muhurta (around 4:00 AM early morning). 


Karpura Gauram Mantra

Shiva Yajur Mantra, also famous as Karpura Gauram Karunavtaaram is one of the most famous mantras that any Hindu must have heard. It is an ancient Sanskrit Shloka related to Lord Shiva and a popular aarti in Shaivism. Karpur Gauram Karunaavtaram is an ancient Sanskrit śloka related to Lord Shiva and a popular aarti in Shaivism. It is found in Yajurveda, one of the four canonical texts of Hinduism, The Vedas.

karpūragauraṁ karuṇāvatāraṁ
sansārsāram bhujagendrahāram |
sadāvasantaṁ hṛdayāravinde
bhavaṁbhavānīsahitaṁ namāmi || 

Meaning

Lord Shiva, who dwells in my heart along with Mata Bhawani, one who is white as camphor, one who is the manifestation of compassion, one who is the essence of the universe, and who wears the king of the snakes (Vasuki) as his necklace, I bow down to you.

It is believed that the chanting Shiva mantra has miraculous benefits. Karpur Gauram is the Shiva mantra that was found in Yajurveda. The benefits of the Karpur Gauram Mantra are:

· Daily chanting eliminates the trouble from the paths of Shiva bhaktas.

· It helps them deal with every challenging situation in life. 

· Chanting the mantra every day helps to improve concentration. 

· It assists with the psyche, developing fixation and concentration. 

· It assists with adjusting to the Universe and within us.

Lord Shiva is the incarnation of compassion and is easily pleased by the prayers of his devotees. It is believed that you can achieve anything with hard work by chanting the mantra daily.

This mantra is considered among the most powerful mantras of protection; it protects us from negativity, dangers, and enemies. Chanting Shiva’s mantra regularly changes our vibrations and energies both within our body and outside and brings us success and prosperity in all areas of our lives.
